These are the terms on which Tamada works with guides. The individual agreement you sign with the platform operator is short: it contains your name, your commission rate, the payment term and bank details. Everything else is here, and these terms form an integral part of your agreement. If anything is unclear, ask your manager before signing — we want the arrangement to be clear from day one.
1. Who we are and what we offer
The Tamada platform (website tamada.com.ge, hereinafter the “Platform”, “we”) is operated by Nikolai Pavlov, a private individual; address: 16 Bochormo Street, Tbilisi, Georgia; e-mail admin@tamada.com.ge (hereinafter the “Operator”).
Tamada is a service through which travellers find and book excursions in Georgia. The excursions are run by you — in your own name, at your own price and under your own responsibility. For the traveller we are an intermediary: the contract for the excursion is concluded between the traveller and the guide, as stated expressly in the Terms of Service. We are neither a tour operator nor the provider of the excursion.
What you get from the Platform:
- a guide page and pages for your excursions on the site in two languages — Russian and English (we do the translation);
- traveller requests from the site and via QR codes at guesthouses, hostels and other partner locations;
- an assistant who stays in touch with the traveller before and after the excursion: confirmation, reminders, questions, the review;
- the guide’s Telegram bot: requests with “confirm” and “decline” buttons, a calendar, a reminder the day before, review notifications;
- collection and publication of reviews about you and your excursions;
- promotion — search engines, social media, partner locations, your personal QR code.
What we do not promise: a volume of requests. The Platform is young, the flow grows gradually, and we say so honestly.
What we take: a commission on completed excursions whose requests came through the Platform. Nothing else — no listing fee, no fee for photos or translation.
2. How to become a guide
- You fill in the application on the “Become a guide” page: name, city, languages, experience, a few words about yourself, a portrait and, if you drive travellers yourself, your car with photos.
- A manager reviews the application and writes to you in a messenger — you discuss excursions, prices and terms. The team is small and selected by hand, so we may decline an application.
- The manager sends you a two-to-three-page agreement: the parties, the commission, the payment term, bank details; everything else is these terms. You sign it on paper and send a photo or scan, or return a PDF with your signature.
- The manager uploads the signed agreement, creates your profile and issues a code for the Telegram bot. The scan of the agreement is kept in closed storage, accessible only to the Platform’s staff.
- You connect the bot, open your free days in the calendar, check your page and the excursion texts — and we publish the profile.
What you need to work with us: you are 18 or older; you are entitled to provide excursion services — your legal status (private individual, individual entrepreneur) and taxes remain your responsibility; if you drive travellers — a valid driving licence and a roadworthy car with documents, inspection and insurance; you speak the languages listed in your application.
3. Money
Travellers pay you. Payment is made on the day of the excursion, directly to you, by default in cash in lari (this is what travellers are told in the Booking & Cancellation Rules). The Platform does not take money from travellers and does not issue payment documents — you do that in accordance with your status.
The commission is a percentage of the excursion price shown on the site at the moment of booking. The price and the percentage are fixed in the booking: if you change the price afterwards, or we change the terms, that particular booking is settled at the old figures. Your rate is written in your agreement; the standard rate for new guides is 15%.
When there is no commission:
- the Platform’s founding guides — 0% indefinitely, as written in their agreements;
- bookings via your personal QR code or link — 0%. These are your clients: the people you gave your card to, and those who contacted you directly after an excursion. We keep such bookings in the system so that the assistant and the calendar work for them too, but no commission is charged.
Accrual and reversal. The commission accrues when you confirm the booking and is fully reversed if the excursion does not take place — for any reason: the traveller cancelled, you cancelled, the traveller did not show up, the road was closed. You owe nothing for an excursion that did not take place. A completed excursion is marked by you in the bot or by the assistant on your message; disputed cases are resolved from the correspondence and the traveller’s confirmations.
Statement and payment. The settlement period is a calendar month, by excursion dates. In the first days of the following month you receive a statement in your messenger: the list of bookings, amounts, rate, reversals and the total; on request — as a CSV table. You transfer the commission to the bank details in your agreement within 7 calendar days of receiving the statement. If you disagree with a line, write within the same 7 days and we will sort it out; this does not delay the undisputed part of the statement. If payment does not arrive on time, the profile is paused — removed from the showcase until payment; confirmed excursions remain in force.
Prices. You set the price of each excursion and change it through the manager; a change does not affect bookings already confirmed. One request the whole model rests on: do not offer a traveller who came through the Platform the same excursion cheaper “on the side”, and do not take them off the Platform to avoid the commission. Requests come from a service that lives on that commission. At the same time, when the same traveller contacts you directly next time — via your code or personal contact — they are your client and there is no commission.
4. Your obligations
The site makes specific promises to travellers on your behalf — here they are.
Reply to a request within 2 hours between 09:00 and 23:00 Tbilisi time; a request sent at night — in the morning. If there is no reply, the assistant steps in and may pass the request to another guide.
The calendar is up to date. The days you open in the bot are actually free; a confirmed private excursion closes the day. Close a day taken by other business yourself, so you do not have to turn a traveller down after a request.
Waiting at the meeting point — 30 minutes on a private excursion and 15 minutes on a group excursion. If you are the one running late, warn the traveller immediately via the messenger or the assistant.
Cancellations and changes follow the Booking & Cancellation Rules. A traveller may cancel with no consequences no later than 24 hours before the start, and you owe the Platform nothing for an excursion that did not take place. You cancel a confirmed excursion only for a serious reason — illness, a broken-down car — warn as early as possible and help find a replacement through the assistant. An excursion that falls through because of you without warning earns a warning from the Platform; a second time — the profile is paused.
The programme. The excursion follows the programme on its page; the order and the set of stops may change for objective reasons — weather, roads, closed sites — with the traveller informed. A child takes a seat like an adult and there is no separate child price; a child seat is provided at the traveller’s request in the booking comment.
Safety and the law. A roadworthy vehicle with documents and insurance, compliance with traffic rules and the rules of nature reserves, churches and monasteries. You are solely responsible for the quality of the service, for the safety of travellers on the road, and for your own taxes and legal status.
Reviews. Travellers leave reviews with a rating and photos; the Platform moderates and publishes them. You do not write reviews about yourself, do not ask travellers to write untruths and do not pressure them for a rating; asking a happy traveller to leave a review via your link is welcome.
5. Travellers’ data
For each excursion you receive the traveller’s name, messenger contact, date, number of participants and the comment to the request. This data is only for running that excursion and communicating about it. It may not be used for mailings or advertising, passed to third parties or stockpiled “for later”. After the trip, delete it from your devices within a reasonable time — a month is the benchmark. This is exactly what we promised travellers in the Privacy Policy, and it is binding on every guide of the Platform. A breach is grounds for disconnection.
Your own data — the application, the agreement, the ID details in it, photos, phone number, Telegram identifier — we process for the purposes of our cooperation: to maintain your profile, send requests, calculate the commission and comply with the law. The agreement is kept in closed storage for the whole period of cooperation and for 3 years after it ends. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
6. Your content and reviews
Materials. Your name, photos, the text about yourself, photos of your car, descriptions and photos of excursions are your content. By giving it to us, you confirm that you hold the rights to it (including the consent of people who appear in the photos) and allow the Platform, free of charge, indefinitely and on a non-exclusive basis, to publish it on the site, translate, shorten and edit it, process the photos and use it to promote the Platform — in social media, at partner locations, on your QR card. Your photos and car photos are shown on the site while you are active; on disconnection we remove the profile from the showcase and may delete the content, while materials already released — posts, printed cards — are not recalled.
Reviews about you and your excursions are collected and stored by the Platform; the review database belongs to it. You may link to your page and quote reviews about yourself with attribution.
Brand. You work with the Platform, not in it: do not present yourself as a Tamada employee and do not use the logo outside materials issued by the Platform. “A guide on the Tamada platform” and your QR card are fine.
7. Pause, disconnection, termination and changes to the terms
Term. The agreement is effective from the date of signing, indefinitely.
Termination. Either party may terminate the agreement by notifying the other 14 days in advance in a messenger or by e-mail. Excursions already confirmed are completed by both parties, and the commission on them accrues under the general rules; after the last excursion you receive a final statement and pay it within the usual term.
Pause. In case of a breach of sections 4–5, late payment or traveller complaints, the Platform may pause the profile — remove it from the showcase. We notify you and give you a chance to explain; confirmed excursions remain in force.
Disconnection. For repeated or gross breaches — deceiving travellers, dangerous driving, misuse of travellers’ data, systematic no-shows — the Platform terminates the agreement and archives the profile without the 14-day notice.
Changes to the terms. These terms may change. We publish the new version on the site and notify guides 14 days in advance in a messenger or through the bot. If you continue working after the new version takes effect, you agree to it. If you do not agree, tell us, and the agreement ends without penalties; confirmed excursions are completed.
8. Law, disputes and contacts
The laws of Georgia apply to the agreement and these terms. Disagreements are first resolved by talking: write to the manager or to admin@tamada.com.ge, and we will reply within 10 working days. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is heard by the court at the Operator’s location in Tbilisi.
The terms are published in Russian and English; in case of discrepancy, the Russian version prevails.
